The Self-help Group for Cerebral Palsy, Nepal is a non-governmental and non-profit organization fully committed to helping children and adults with cerebral palsy, and to providing emotional and practical support to their parents. The group, established in October 1986, is a team of medical professionals, university teachers, parents of disabled children, and social workers with a common desire to improve the quality of life for people with cerebral palsy. SGCP is an associate organization member of the International Cerebral Palsy Society, London, though initiated with 4 cases of these problems.

The main objective of this organization is to help and support the parents and children with cerebral palsy through different ways so that their dependence gets regular and effective help and care on a long-term basis to become independent within their limits if their abilities allow.

SEP was introduced in 1993 with the objective of imparting knowledge and skills to look CP children in the areas of basic and primary education so that they can join mainstream school.

A major program of SGCP Nepal, CPRC provides a wide range of interventions that include medical assessments and treatments, management of seizures.

We provide emotional support and guidance to parents, empowering them to deliver consistent care and long-term assistance to their children with cerebral palsy.
Community Rehabilitation
Our programs utilize available community resources to rehabilitate individuals with cerebral palsy, working closely with parents to ensure effective and sustained care.
Training and Skill Development
We conduct specialized training to produce skilled professionals who can offer the appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services needed for cerebral palsy care.
