Special Education

Our Special Education program is dedicated to providing tailored educational support to children with disabilities. We focus on creating an inclusive learning environment that addresses the unique needs of each child, ensuring they receive the individualized attention and resources necessary for their academic and personal development.

Diyalo

The Diyalo Programme is a two-year transition initiative by SGCP Nepal designed to support adults with cerebral palsy and neurological disorders in building life skills, enhancing independence, and strengthening family and community ties. Targeting 12 adults aged 18 and above, along with their families, the programme is structured into three phases: skill development and social engagement through activities like arts, crafts, computer education, and life skills training; home integration with environmental modifications, responsibility sharing, and small income-generating initiatives; and intensive parental empowerment with community connection through ongoing support groups. Regular six-month evaluations ensure that each participant's progress is monitored and activities are adapted to meet individual needs, paving a pathway toward a more fulfilling and independent life.

Special Education in DCCs

We extend our Special Education services to Day Care Centers (DCCs) across various regions, ensuring that children with disabilities receive early educational interventions. This program focuses on integrating special education practices into DCCs, fostering inclusive environments from a young age.

Awareness/Trainings

Our Awareness and Training programmes are designed to educate parents, teachers, and community members about the importance of special education and inclusive practices. We conduct workshops and training sessions to build awareness, enhance skills, and promote understanding, ensuring that all children receive the support they need to thrive.
